Mahnomen Release Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, cause a release, post bond, or retrieve an official record. Contact the office that owns the record.

Mahnomen County does not operate a jail, so the correct contact depends on the custody stage. Begin with the Sheriff to identify the host facility. Then ask that host for its physical booking-and-release entry. Use the court for the legal order, Minnesota DOC for state-prison records, and the supervision office for a current community-status question.

Use these routes for the most common needs:

  • For a released person or release record, start with the full Mahnomen search and records path, then contact the identified host.
  • For community supervision, use the parole and probation resource and the Mahnomen Field Services office.
  • For a date-bounded local release request, use the 24-hour release process; no official Mahnomen feed exists.
  • For a state-prison date or custody alert, compare the projected release date resource with the VINE and Haven notification boundary.
  • For Minnesota VINE, call 1-877-664-8463. PIN or service help is available at 1-866-277-7477.
  • For Minnesota Haven or DOC Victim Assistance, call 800-657-3830 or email victimassistance.doc@state.mn.us.
  • For a tribal matter, use the official White Earth Judicial Services contacts after confirming tribal jurisdiction and the case number.
  • For a federal-prison release, use the BOP inmate locator and the federal court record; BOP results cover federal custody only.
  • For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator after a host record identifies an ICE transfer; its recent-release coverage is limited.
